Jackson Mahomes’ Tuesday court hearing, concerning felony charges of sexual battery, has been postponed due to a request by his defense attorneys, with a scheduling conference now established for Tuesday instead.
The 22-year-old – who is the brother of Patrick Mahomes – is going through legal proceedings as he is accused of forcefully kissing the owner of a Kansas City-area restaurant on February 25.
The incident, which was seemingly caught on surveillance video, showed Jackson grabbing the woman by the neck before kissing her multiple times.
He was subsequently arrested and logged into the Johnson County Detention Center, before being released on bail after meeting a 100,000 dollar bond.
“He forcibly kissed me out of nowhere,” the woman said to TMZ at the time.
However, that claim is rejected by Jackson Mahomes’ legal team.
“Our investigation has revealed substantial evidence refuting the claims of Jackson’s accuser, including the statements of several witnesses,” Brandan Davies, his attorney, has said.
